U.S. Marine Lance Corporal Julio (Alex) Guzman (Retired)
"After joining the Marines in 2003 Alex served as a rifleman for three and a half years. He fought in the first battle for Fallujah (Operation Vigilant Resolve) where a bomb blast slammed him into a wall. He continued to serve with his platoon in Al Anbar province fighting against al Qaeda in Iraq."

| Current Situation: | While San Jose is Alex's hometown he now lives with his cousin in San Diego. Since he only recently found full time work with a defense contractor his financial situation remains extemely weak. His divorce in 2007 left him with minimal visitation rights and he wants to hire an attorney to help him fight for more time with his daughter. |
