"When Author returned from his last tour in Iraq in 2005 he was a very different man, husband and father. Before he recently sought and began treatment for his dehabilitating posttraumtic stress disorder (PTSD), his entire family continuously struggled with his extreme and unpredictable emotions and behaviors. The Jackson Family has turned an important corner in their lives but needs help dealing with with its short term financial problems."

Personal Interests:
Current Situation: In July 2009 Auther finished an in-patient treatment program for PTSD at the VA Hospital in Biloxi Mississippi and he now benefits from weekly mental health counseling on an outpatient basis. This family of five had been living on less than $1000 a month. However, Auther's wife has started a new job as a registered nurse and Auther expects to receive VA service-connected compensation of around $1500 a month starting by year-end. Until then, the family needs help paying its basic living expenses.
