| Current Situation: | "After 11 years of service in the Army, Chris's plan for a military career ended in Iraq in 2004. Since then he and his family have struggled with the on-going symptoms of PTSD and the medications he has taken to treat them. In November 2009 Chris lost his job and was hospitalized. He expects his family income to increase substantially in a few months when the Veterans Administration increases his service-connected disability payments and his social security disability benefits start. Until then, his family needs help paying for their basic living expenses. |
