Always willing to volunteer his time to support worthwhile causes and public events throughout the various channels in his community. |
| Current Situation: | Eli has aggressively dealt with the financial challenges of living on a greatly reduced income since leaving the military. He has trimmed his living expenses, is working as a substitute teacher in two districts during the school year, and expects to earn an alternative teacher certficate in August 2009. Eli has also worked evenings in part-time jobs to supplement his regular income. After successfully filing for service-connected compensation from the Veterans Administration he expects this modest income to start in 3 months; he is also appealing the VA's current ruling. In the meantime, Eli needs help paying for basic living expenses and replacing a well-worn old car. |
