Ineligible Requests

Rebuild Hope does not accept all types of requests for financial assistance. Since many miltary support organizations already provide special services (e.g., airline tickets) at no cost to military families, we encourage families to take advantage of this existing generous support. Please keep in mind that Rebuild Hope strives to meet financial needs not met by these other organizations.

In the future we will create a directory that helps you identify military support organizations that offer specialized assistance. For now, we encourage you to visit America Supports You, a general directory maintained by the U.S. Department of Defense.

The following items do NOT qualify for the Rebuild Hope website. At any time Rebuild Hope can change the list without any prior or separate notice AND make reasonable exceptions solely at its discretion.

  1. Loans from anyone other than financial institutions

  2. Any item where an expediture has/will be reimbursed by another source

  3. Any illegal item

  4. Any vehicle other than a basic one that serves as primary transportion for the service man or woman

  5. Repair or other expenses for any vehicle other than a basic one that serves as primary transportion for the service man or woman

  6. Cosmetic repairs or modifications to a primary transport vehicle

  7. Cosmetic repairs or modifications to a primary residence.

  8. Medical or dental services or procedures

  9. Any discretionary travel, lodging, entertainment and activities other than that directly connected to approved therapy by a Rebuild Hope partner

  10. Airline travel

  11. Legal fees

  12. Business expenses

  13. Educational expenses for adults and children
