| Operation: | Iraqi Freedom and Vigilant Resolve |
| Military Assignment: | Naval Support Activity Norfolk, Va. USS George Washington CVN-73. Deck Department, 1st Division. |
| Immediate Family: | Wife and baby boy |
| Personal Interests: | Raising my son. My dogs. I love to grow my own veggies to cook and watch football. I've always wanted to be a coach. |
| Current Situation: | In 2005 I was diagnosed with a malignant low grade tumor of the cerebellum. It has been a long road to recovery, and I still have a long way to go. I have never given up anything before and I'm not about to start. I will not stop until the tumor is a thing of the past. What led to our recent troubles finically, is the appointments I have to keep every 4-6 months. Every time I go weather it is the National Institutes of Health, of Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. It takes about 350 to 400 dollars every trip and last about three to four days. No counting all other incurred cost, it ends up breaking the bank almost every time. Our Gas and Power Bill has what really hit us hard. With the cost of Energy on the Up and Up, it had been hard to keep the balance even. That is the most important thing to pay, over the past three months we have been trying to keep the power and gas on to our house. We also have some troubles trying to keep up the payments on our vehicle. When our son was born we had to trade in our pick-up truck for a more fuel efficient vehicle, and something with more room. Therefore our payments changed and became almost $150 more than what they were on the pick-up. My fiancee and I are both seeking employment. She was just accepted to nursing school, so we're planning accordingly. The main thing is finding gainful employment. I have some interviews coming up, so we're hoping it goes well. Also we have significantly cut back on our spending. |
