He and his mom have struggled with his Post Traumatic Stress Syndrone (PTSD) symptoms and associated financial problems. While both are now employed their accumulated personal debt is now a major issue as they strive to rebuild their lives."

Injury Incident:

John was discharged from duty in April 2008 served in Iraq for 14 months. He has applied for a medical disability rating for Post Traumatic Stress Syndrone (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) from the Veterans Administration and the underlying process can take 9 months or more.

Immediate Family: Shares home with his mother.
Personal Interests:

John enjoys softball, baseball, soccer, weight lifting/fitness, Tai'Chi, reading, singing, Computer Networking Technician (Un-certified), Computer Gaming, Socializing & Learning. .

Current Situation:

John and his mother's shared financial situation has deteriorated sharply over the past 17 months as her real estate income declined and John remained unemployed struggling with the symptoms of PTSD without the benefit of counseling. John is now meeting paticipating in regular VA counseling for PTSD and found work at the end of May. Meanwhile, his mother has been working as a seamstress for the past three months. Together they have fallen behind on mortgage payments and relied heavily on expensive consumer credit.
