Injury: Service-connected disabilities include severe posttraumatic stress disorder, hearing loss and tinnitus (i.e., severe ringing in the ears).
Operations: Enduring Freedom (at sea and on land) - combat element for the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit Special Operations Capable deployed to Afghanistan on September 18th 2001.
Last Military Assignment: Company L 3rd Battalion 6th Marines 2nd Marine Division
Immediate Family: Wife and four children.
Personal Interests: "I love fishing, family outings at the beach, taking the family through historic Saint Augustine"
Current Situation:

After losing his job two weeks before Christmas, Ramon is now working while continuing his treatment at a local Veterans Administration outpatient clinic. He plans on joining Crowley Maritime in September once he completes VA Vocational Training. Ramon's wife has found full-time employment - after staying at home to care for their four children - and expects a significant increase in income after completing a 90-day probationary period. Rebuild Hope helped this family create a 12-month budget and has helped them pay for their last month's rent before they move to a less costly apartment and some basic living expenses.
