Whether you are a veteran, an active "soldier", a family member or simply someone who wants to help them, finding help is not easy. Here are some resources we highly recommend.

Compensation And Benefits Handbook For Seriously Ill and Injured Members of the Armed Forces. This is a good synopsis of the benefits and services provided by multiple U.S. government agencies. Download a copy.

If you are having financial problems now or think you may have them in the future, go to your Military Financial Assistance Center for assistance. Help can range from individual counseling on money matters to emergency loans. In addition, the Family Center usually offers group seminars and workshops on several topics: Financial planning for transition, family budgets and spending plans, recordkeeping, insurance, credit, credit, debt liquidation, consumer rights, taxes and investments. There are hundreds of private sector organizations in our country that typically deliver very specific services to severely injured members of the U.S. military and Veterans on a limited geographical scale. California Statewide Collaborative

The California Statewide Collaborative ("CASC" or "Collaborative") is an informal community of members of the private and public sector including the US military and Veterans Administration who help injured veterans and their families. While its members are mostly located in California the Collaborative works closely with similar-minded individuals and organizations in other states. (View)
