Current Situation: Taylor was medically discharged from the National Guard in May 2011 after being violently assaulted. After this incident he remained in the hospital for three months while undergoing physical, speech, occupational, visual and recreational therapy. He is currently rated with an 80% disability from the Army and is waiting for the start of disability income from the VA. He continues to receive regular medical treatment. When his fiance lost her job they relied on food pantries and family assistance. While she just started working again they have fallen behind paying their monthly bills.
