Our success depends on an ever-expanding team of highly self-motivated volunteers who are passionate about our mission and committed to making significant personal contributions to our efforts. Are you currently working fulltime? Semi-retired? Or simply looking for ways to enrich your retirement? Regardless of your situation we might have the perfect opportunity for you. While most of our volunteers spend 4 to 6 hours a week on average they control their own schedules and typically work from their homes.

Community-based Volunteers

These individuals are located in selected communities across the U.S.

Community Team Leaders (5)

These individuals build awareness of Rebuild Hope within selected communities starting in the San Farncisco Bay Area, and spreading across California and the U.S. Initial Focus: tabletop displays at key civic events and locations, events co-sponsored with existing civic organizations, presentations to key community groups, personal networking and donor cultivation receptions. Recruit volunteers to support our community-based marketing efforts.

Community Volunteers (many)

Members of individual community teams that plan and implement Rebuild Hope programs. Many different roles are available.

Program & Project-based Volunteers

These individuals can be located anywhere in the U.S.

Community Marketing Program Manager

Identify, recruit and support community team leaders starting in California. Define and manage national, regional and local programs that become models for our community-based, donor and applicant recruiting activities.

Online Marketing Specialists (2)

Builds awareness of Rebuild Hope in the national donor community by "spreading-the word" over e-mail, social networks, blogs and new media websites.

Online Giving Marketing Specialist

Lead our efforts to capitalize on websites that support online giving, e.g., ebay Giving Works, Google Grant program.

Marketing Projects Specialist

Lead efforts to research and develop new opportunities to recruit donors, beneficiaries and volunteers. Collaborate with other members of the Rebuild Hope team.

Military Support Specialist

Builds relationships with private sector military support organizations and veteran centers starting in California so they help us spread-the-word about Rebuild Hope to qualified military families. Identify and support regional RH agents who will help us recruit applicants. Establish partnerships where Rebuild Hope can co-sponsor beneficiaries. Act as the primary Rebuild Hope representative in our partnership with the Soldier's Angels, a nationwide nonprofit that assists soldiers and their families.

Veteran Advocate

Help applicants join, participate in and benefit from Rebuild Hope. Manage communications between Rebuild Hope and individual beneficiaries.

PR Program Manager

Defines and manages our strategies, plans and programs to build awareness of Rebuild Hope across the United States working with the media, and private and public sector organizations. An excellent track record in consumer-oriented public relations is essential. Recruit volunteer PR specialists as needed. Time commitment: 6 to 8 hours a week.

PR Specialist

Builds awareness of Rebuild Hope in specific communities starting in the Mid-Peninsula and Bay Area and expanding throughout California working with the media, and private and public sector organizations. Define and manage programs that are models for our public relations activities in other regions.

Major Donor Manager

Leads our efforts to secure financial support from individuals.

Corporate Donor Program Manager

Leads our efforts to secure financial support from and through the business community.

Grant Program Manager

Leads our efforts to secure financial grants that will fund future Rebuild Hope operations.
